As Principal Instrumentation engineer I
developed the detail engineering for the complete Automation of 6 Reciprocating
H2 and Natural Gas compressors using Allen Bradley Control Logix
series of PLC’s, this was carried out for Calumet
Refinery in
· As Automation specialist I developed an Integrated control and Safety System for Oil/Gas Production Field Project, complete integration of all control, safety, fire detection and electrical systems was achieved.
· As Control and Instrument Discipline Leader, an Iron-Nickel Plant was automated with a DCS approach, the main challenge of this project was to integrate all the PLC’s within the major mechanical equipment (Kiln furnace, Melting Furnace, Refining furnace, etc.) to the proposed DCS, also all MCC and Electrical S/S were integrated through Profibus-PA links. The system selected was a PCS-7 from Siemens.
· As Automation Engineer in the Amuay Refinery Tank Farms New Scada Project, a SCADA system were developed for 270 tanks aprox., this SCADA were implemented with two DEC Alpha Server computers were a Factory Link SCADA software over Unix OS.
· As Senior Control and Instrumentation Project Engineer in Macagua II Hydroelectric Power Plant, it was developed all the control panels functional control schematics for a 2500 MVA Hydroelectric Power Plant, all the functional schematic were re-designed to implement PLC functionality into all Plant control panel.
· As automation project Engineer, a Bailey Distributed Control System was designed for a Natural Gas Compressors Plant composed of six Solar Turbine compressor units and their auxiliaries, it was integrated to turbines’ PLC.
